What the chamber is

Their own account of the body in Bangkok, and of its reach into the ASEAN region through the rest of the network.

One of the biggest foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand.

thailand.ahk.de/en/about-us2

The Chamber’s membership now stands at almost 600, hence it is one of the biggest foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand. The twenty employees have comprehensive country-specific knowledge about markets and industries, as well as many years of experience and expertise in representing business interests in Germany and Thailand.

GTCC provides services to German and Thai companies and acts as a strategic partner between the two economies. GTCC supports companies and institutions from both countries in opening up new trade and investment opportunities.

We provide companies direct access to the markets of the ASEAN region via our service network with other German Chambers of Commerce abroad. We maintain close contacts with enterprises, associations, politics and administration in Germany and Thailand, and provide comprehensive information about economic relations between Germany and Thailand, their development, as well as the opportunities, which arise for companies.

Three functions, and a network of 150

A German Chamber of Commerce Abroad is three things at once, and the network states them in this order.

At 150 locations in 93 countries around the world, the members of German Chambers of Commerce offer their experiences, connections and services to German and local companies. German Chambers of Commerce are located in all countries which are of special interest for German companies.

Official representations of the German economy
The German Chambers of Commerce are the key players in German foreign trade promotion on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany. They represent German business interests at their locations. They inform about and advertise Germany as a location.
Member organisations
The German Chambers of Commerce gather around companies that are active in bilateral economic relations. These members give weight and voice to the German Chambers of Commerce when it speaks to politicians, business and administration to promote bilateral economic relations.
Service providers for companies
The German Chambers of Commerce offer companies from Germany and the host country services under the service brand "DEinternational" to support their foreign trade activities.

German Chambers of Commerce are closely connected to the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs). Together, they support German companies to build up and extend their business relations to foreign countries. The umbrella organization is the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), which also coordinates and supports the German Chambers of Commerce.

The three functions above are the network’s own wording, printed under that heading on their page about the chamber. The bodies named in the footer of every page of their site are Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AHK.de, Germany Trade & Invest.
